Staff from the Outer Hebrides Alcohol & Drug Partnership and Health Promotion Department delivered a full day input to the Year 2 Nursing Students on 6^th June at the UHI Campus, Western Isles Hospital.

The learning sessions included a look at local and national alcohol and drug figures; the different categories of drugs, using a drug samples box and Drugs Wheel Game.

Awareness of different strengths and types of alcohol; the current recommended units and to understand the need to undertake alcohol brief interventions in priority and wider settings also featured.  Resources such as unit measure glasses, leaflets and mocktail recipes were available for the students to take away.
